Over the past 71 years, Hurley Porte and Duell has designed and administered the construction of most building types. Our practice portfolio is diverse, covering small scale refurbisment projects to multi-million pound new buildings.

Residential Architectural Services
We provide a wide range of services to help you with your project, starting with design ideas and a free consultation leading onto a feasibility study with building cost estimates, and through to obtaining the necessary planning and building regulation approvals.
We have local planning knowledge and ‘listed building’ expertise to tackle even the most challenging projects.
We can even procure and manage the building work for you with an option to use our project management services and builders from our approved list. The services are broken down into clearly defined stages. Fixed fees are available for each stage and these can be packaged to suit your project.

Commercial Architectural Services
Our commercial services follow the RIBA Plan of Work, where the services are broken down into eight work stages. These can be customised to create a ‘project specific plan’ to suit your needs.
We can offer a complete service from inception to completion, acting as your lead consultant, contract administrator, employer’s agent, and principal designer. Alternatively, you can choose from a menu of services giving you flexibility on how you wish to procure your building project.
Our services are delivered using integrated IT systems, including the National Building Specification and CAD software with 3-d modelling. We are committed to collaborative working with design teams and clients using the latest ‘BIM’, ‘Building Information Management’ systems.

Community Architectural Services
Our community projects include village and community halls, youth centres, schools, healthcare centres, doctors and dentists surgeries, nurseries and childcare facilities.
We recognise community and social projects are often limited by a lack of funding, we can provide assistance and advice with grant funding as well as some limited services on a ‘no grant no fee basis’ to help get your project started.
A ‘value engineering’ approach is often needed to balance the requirements of these projects against available funds, using a combination of our experience and skills and our contacts with builders and other consultants we strive to find solutions which give our clients ‘best value’ in the long term whilst also providing sustainable solutions.
